Joe Amico

Joe Amico is a director of Heimdahl Funds and responsible for business development. Joe has almost 40 years of experience in structured finance, leasing and international taxation. Previously Joe was a partner at Independence Capital Partners, a private equity group focused on real estate development and construction. Previously, Joe was an independent consultant to the U.S. Government in its efforts to recoup losses arising from the MBS meltdown. The U.S. Government recovered in excess of US$25 billion from cases initiated by Joe on its behalf.

Prior to assisting the U.S. Government, Joe was an expert on over 75 private sector cases involving the MBS frauds, Enron, and others. Previously Joe held senior positions as developer of structured tax products at Citigroup, SalomonSmithBarney and Arthur Andersen. Joe holds a Masters in Taxation from Georgetown Law Center, a JD from Brooklyn Law School and a BA from Georgetown University.

Richard Liao

Richard Liao is a director of Heimdahl Funds and responsible for its financing activities.  Richard has over 35 years of experience in finance, private equity and hotels. Richard is also a Partner of SH Capital Group, a private investment firm focused on the real estate, hospitality, and luxury industries.  Previously, Richard was Chief Financial Officer of Hong Kong listed, The 13 Limited, developer of the Macau ultra-luxury hotel, The 13, named in 2016 to Wallpaper* Magazine’s list of the finest design innovations of the previous 20 years.

Prior to The 13, Richard was Managing Partner and Head of Real Estate Investment Europe for Brookfield Asset Management following positions as Managing Director of Real Estate Investment Banking for Citigroup and Bank of America/Merrill Lynch based in London and New York. Richard holds a BA from Harvard College.
